This is another all-American classic CD that all Americans should own. I remember these songs growing up- most notably, "Sunshine..." and "Goodbye Again." My mom played these records over and over again for us as kids in the 1970's. More people need to be exposed to the music of John Denver. It's part of American history. The CD was in great condition and the seller's price was reasonable. |

A Heart Soaring Like an Eagle |

Without a doubt one of the five best albums ever made. Denver redid some of the original recordings to make this "Best of" and it worked. Smooth and silky are is voice and the tempo of the recordings. I had this record on Vinyl, still do as a matter of fact, and nearly wore it out from so many playings. But now I get to listen to it in the car as well. For any fan of folk/country/rock mixed songs that will absolutely tear at your heart strings...this is it! |

Never fails to cheer me up |

I've listened to this album literally hundreds of times. If I'm in a bad mood it actually changes it. Some days its the only music that can have that effect. It may seem corny, but the words are deceptively deep. I didn't like it at first, but it grows on you. The key thing is that he is honest about himself. He had his problems with alcohol and with his marriage, but he tried, and you hear it in his songs. His love of nature is contagious. "Rhymes and Reasons" is the single best song on the album, but they're all great. |

i grew up on this cd. every single song brings tears to my eyes, which happened even at the tender age of 10. john denver contributed much to american music. God bless his soul. |
