The external length of this slipcase measures less than 14.1", so it is obvious that the inside dimensions are even shorter, which I discovered only upon receiving the item. As a result, my Dell Latitude D830 I just bought two months ago, and which measures in at exactly 14.1" long, stands no chance of actually fitting inside. (My roommate's 13" Dell Latitude fits inside perfectly snugly.) Mobility requires ease of use, so buyers should be aware that they may want to buy a size larger than otherwise indicated if they like the look and feel of this slipcase. |

Great Slipcase |

Fit is excellent for a 14.1 screen laptop, just zips up without any stretching. The neoprene is quite heavy for nice protection. I like the strap on one end for pulling it out of my backpack without squeezing the screen. It has enough depth to accomodate the expanded 12 cell battery on my HP laptop. Very nice product, not too big, like most slipcases that also fit the 15" laptops. |

Tight fit, but functional.... |
Neoprene material, handy loop strap, and side pocket are the main pluses.
The down side is the tight fit.
This particular sleeve was designed for the 14" wide screen laptops.
My laptop is a Dell D630. As other reviewers have noted, the rounded corners of the sleeve do not quite match the corners on the laptop. In order to zip the sleeve, the sleeve has to be pulled fairly tight to fit over the corners of the laptop. But when zipped, the sleeve offers great protection. The side pocket is great for small flat items; like aircards, network cables, pens, and small notebooks. Although it would fit, the power supply and cordless mouse are too bulky for the side pocket and puts too much pressure on the laptop. This may damage the LCD screen.
I carry my laptop in a tool case, so it was important to me that the sleeve fit the laptop like a glove. That was the main reason I chose this sleeve over a "one-size-fit-all" kind of sleeve. The tight fit over the corners is not that big of a deal to me. But over time I can see how the zipper will scratch the laptop corners. Keep that in mind if you want to keep your laptop in pristine condition.
Overall the sleeve does exactly what it was meant to do. It is a tight fit, but it will keep your laptop safe from normal day to day handling. |

size advertised is not accurate |

This product is not advertised properly. My 14" laptop does not even come close to fitting inside. The interior dimensions are much smaller than advertised, so I had to return this purchase. Very inconventient. |
